Contactless Smart card

Usually an institutional student/faculty/employee carry a laminated paper card which is referred to as their ID card. Over the period of time, this card, subjected to wear and tear gets torn away or is not readable. Also, such cards are mere piece of paper and are of no more use.

Smart CardIn the era of plastic cards, this is not acceptable.

A smart card is a plastic card, looks like an ID card (has your photo, your college ID and other info printed) but does more purpose than just an ID card (Do more with less). Just like a human brain, it has a small brain (memory chip) of itself wherein lots of info can be stored. Lets have a look at the uses of this info.

ID card

Stores all your vital information like your personal info (Id, name, height, date of birth etc.), your Medical history, your blood group and other important information securely.

Library Info

No need to carry an extra Library card. Your Smart card will save your library transactions safely and with ease. For eg., list of books issued to you, the return date of the books, fine if any, etc.
Plastic Money

Smart card can work also like a debit card. It can be used to pay college fee, hostel bills, library fine, canteen bill. No need to worry about the cash in your pocket. Your smart card is your wallet
Time and Attendance

Students/Employees/Faculty members can show their cards in front of card readers placed in a room to mark their attendance as soon as they enter the room.

The card reader will store the info of the cards it processed in a specified time and later transfer this info to the central database network for further processing.
